The Hydracare 'Beko';

Beko is a bedside water dispenser which reminds patients to drink. It works on two levels;

Assistive patient orientated device;
Reminds and educates the user through gentle visual alarm. Beko helps to spread water intake throughout the day.

Warning carer based device;
If the patient does not drink at a sufficient rate the alarm becomes more aggressive until it is flashing bright red. This enables carers to quickly identify those who are not drinking properly.

The product aims to deliver a minimum of 2/3rds of the patients total fluid intake. This ensures that each patient is getting enough good hydrating fluid to prevent dehydration.

Other fluid may come from drinks such as tea or coffee or from food.
